Amongst those that say that their belief is in the Creator, YAHUAH ELOHIM, of the universe there is from the extremes of; demons don’t exist to those that chase demons more than they seek YAHUAH. So let’s look into what the WORD says about these demons and how we should deal with them.
There are many lessons to learn from the book of Job but let’s look at what is relevant to demons. The most important thing is ELOHIM’s response to Job which is relevant to us as well.
YAHUAH the Creator alone IS SELF-Existent, (the UN-originated original). He is First of all things (Isa. 41:4), and He alone is the Creator (Ps 146:5-6). This being a basic truth direct from Scripture, we must conclude that ALL that has existence must have come into being by YAHUAH. And YAHUAH is the Sovereign ELOHIM that allows light and evil to the most righteous or unrighteous. We are not to question His will but belief that He will be faithful that we will receive the ultimate reward of His promises of an eternal life in His Kingdom irrespective of how good or bad our lives are.
Even His adversary satan was created by YAHUAH (Gen. 3:1) and may only do what YAHUAH allows him to do as in Job. And the serpents seed (Spiritual) will not defeat/mix with the seed (Followers of Ha Mashiach) of the woman but will allows be in battle with them. (Gen. 3:15).
Take note of the differences in these two situations,
1. Job was a righteous man of YAHUAH who did no wrong yet had the spirit of satan (Abaddon) against him.
2. AHdam and Chavah had sinned and their descendants will have satan, the fallen malakim and the demons (Seed of satan) that will be against the descendants of AHdam and Chavah. In other-words, the hatred of the demonic spirits will always be against mankind until the final Day of Judgment.
Satan was created for a specific purpose in accordance with ELOHIM’s will. He says, “My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do” (Isa.46: 10). “And I have created the waster to destroy” (Isa.54: 16). What is important to understand is that satan is there to destroy those that do not accept the will of YAHUAH.
Did He know, being the all-wise Creator, what the result would be. Yes, He knew what the outcome would be, He knew the result, and it was just as He had planned it. YAHUAH did not create a universe, and then turn it loose to see what would happen. No, He works all things after the council of His will. (Eph. 1:11) Yes, His will. He watches each one of His creatures very closely. There is nothing that occurs without His foreknowledge. YAHUAH knows what will occur from the beginning of time, just as though it had already occurred. His knowledge is unlimited, knowing the end from the beginning (Isa.46: 10). YAHUAH is so almighty and powerful, that the Adversary obeys every command that YAHUAH gives him (Job 1:6-12; 2:1-8). There is no contest, or struggle of power going on between the two, or power comparison. Satan or the Adversary is simply a reflection of the power which exists from YAHUAH. YAHUAH could by a simple gesture, cut off the power and the authority of Satan, or the Adversary if He so wished. Scripture shows that YAHUAH governs the evil found in the universe, and is ultimately responsible for it all. Yes, YAHUAH is indeed truly all powerful, The Almighty.
YAHUAH in His wisdom saw the need for an adversary, an opponent, someone to work counter to His plans and purpose, and to undertake an attempt to overthrow His ultimate plan of the salvation and praise of all of His creation. So, we see that that an adversary, and even evil itself, is in YAHUAH’s plan. Without opposition, YAHUAH could never show His superiority, His love. This fact is simple when we think of it. YAHUAH needed sin and wickedness in order to have an opportunity to show to the creation (world), His mighty power over adversaries, i.e. the Adversary and his satellites. If the Pharaoh of Egypt had not been motivated by an evil spirit he would not have held the children of Israel in bondage. All occurred so that YAHUAH might show to the Creation His power over the adversary. Paul says Pharaoh was raised up for this very purpose (Rom. 9:17; Ex. 9:16). Pharaoh’s heart was made stubborn by YAHUAH (Gen. 10:1-2).
There are many events recorded in Scripture, where YAHUAH used an adversary to carry out His purpose. It is evident that even Judas himself would not have been strong enough to have betrayed the Redeemer YAHUSHA, but he was fortified by the Adversary (Luke 22:3). Only then was he able to betray YAHUSHA. In this way YAHUAH’s plan was again completed.
We can never appreciate the good, if it were not contrasted with the bad. Had we not known darkness, we would not appreciate the light. YAHUAH could never have worked out His great purpose without contrast in His creation, such as evil and wickedness. A physician would not receive any praise in his profession if he found no one sick. Neither would YAHUAH be praised for the deliverance ‘from sin’ if no one had been lost ‘in sin’. Nothing can be accomplished without contrast. But the comforting thought is that YAHUAH, by whom all things exist, is not only able but will transmute all evil, wickedness, and sin into good. No wonder the Scriptures tell us, “For the wrath of mankind praises You YAHUAH” (Psa.76:10).
We are told in the Scriptures to let YAHUAH be true, and every man a liar. Let’s believe that YAHUAH is indeed true, and “working all matters according to the counsel of His desire” (Eph.1:11). All matters? That is what it says. Then we must believe that YAHUAH is operating the whole universe, all of His creation, and is in full control, directing each occurrence. Why should we try to shield YAHUAH’s association with evil, when He says:
“YAHUAH has made all for His purpose, and also the wrong for the day of evil” (Pro.16:4). “forming the light and creating darkness, making peace and creating evil, I, YAHUAH, do all these” (Isa.45:7).
“See now that I, I am He, And there is no ELOHIM besides Me. I put to death and I make alive. I have wounded, and I heal. And from My hand no one delivers” (Deuteronomy 32:39).
“YAHUAH puts to death and makes alive, He brings down to Sheol, and raises up. YAHUAH makes poor and makes rich, He brings low and lifts up, He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the dunghill, to sit with princes, and make them inherit a throne of esteem.” (I Samuel 2:6-8).
“YAHUAH has made all for His purpose, And also the wrong for the day of evil” (Proverbs 16:4).
But, let us keep in mind, that the Adversary(s) and Satan’s career is temporary. It will all end in YAHUAH’s appointed time, and all in accordance with His plan. Until it ends we have to deal with satan, devils and demons.
For many of you the above has most probably come as a huge shock but remember the following.
1. Never under or overestimate the power of the demonic.
2. If you’re reborn the RUACH in you is far more powerful than the demonic of the world.
3. No matter what happens to you never lose your belief in the faithfulness of YAHUAH.
Let’s look briefly at the Spirits of Light before we deal with the spirits of darkness.
Ha Kodesh RUACH of ELOHIM – The Scriptures describes RUACH as the Bride, fruits of the spirit, raises the dead, heals, is life and many other good things. Yet in Acts 5 RUACH killed 2 people.
Malakim – The Malakim (Messengers) assist and protect ELOHIM’s people, nature, weather, etc. Yet they have and will kill many people.
So why does YAHUAH need to have satan and his devils and demons to do evil when His RUACH and malakim can do it for Him?
The answer is that ELOHIM is an ELOHIM of order and He will only allow His RUACH and malakim to do certain things like killing and not the tempting, enticing, luring and actual sinful acts. Satan, his demonic and human followers and these evil acts will not be part of the new Kingdom and new earth.
The spirits of darkness will be the reason/cause and take part in the evil/death whereas the spirits of light will be executing judgment of death against those that have transgressed against EHOLIM’s will. But don’t forget that it’s not necessarily that the person is unrighteous and that it is now time for them to die. When there is a natural disaster, that could be caused by the malakim or devils, the righteous and unrighteous will die.
What the Spirit’s of light do will be seen as righteous as it will be done according to His will and not their will. The devil’s and demons do not want to do what is righteous but want to do evil to satisfy themselves and satan.
What is important to understand is that there is one force/power behind light and darkness and not two forces of light and darkness. Therefore satan is powerless to fight against ELOHIM although he still believes that he can be like ELOHIM. In the heathen christian bible people misunderstand the reference to satan as god and YAHUAH as God. Believing that satan has similar powers to YAHUAH. YAHUAH is the ELOHIM as The Mighty One that is the Creator of all. Satan is referred to as an elohim, mighty one/ruler/prince of the world and as a god (demonic spirit/idol0). YAHUAH cannot be referred to as a god. Heathen Christianity has placed too great an emphasis on satan. In the Tanakh satan is referred to 3 times in the Apostolic Scriptures (1/3 the size of the Tanakh) satan is mentioned 35 times and devil 32 times. Including the euphemisms for satan there’s other 100 references to satan.
Satan means adversary, obstacle or stumbling block. The spirits of darkness existed before the creation of the universe and was the stumbling block for mankind right in the beginning. The Lamb was slain before the foundation of mankind in anticipation that mankind was going to sin. 1 Pet 1:18-20. Rev 13:8.
The spirits of darkness are,
Abaddon – the leader of the devils.
Devils – fallen malakim.
Demons – demonic spirits. They were the spirits of the nephilim.
Abaddon – He is the spirit of destruction and death. And is the main anti-Ha Mashiach spirit as in the case of Judas. Currently he is possessing the political, church and business leaders to setup the anti-Ha Mashiach system of a one world government, financial system and religion. Any of the top world leaders talking about these types of systems like chrislam is satan possessed.
Devils – They possess the other lower rank leaders to assist Abaddon in his objectives. They are more strategic to influence countries, large businesses, organizations and religions.
Demons – They focus on influencing and possessing individuals and families to be part of evil activities.
Rev. 16:14 “For they are spirits of demons doing signs, which go forth to the kings of the earth, even of the whole inhabitable world to assemble them to the war of that day, the great day of El Shaddai.”
I’ve already touched on how heathen christians have given satan so much “status” so let’s look at how much status has been given to the demons.
The words that are mainly used to describe the casting out of demons are – expulsion of evil spirits by spells and exorcism.
These are some examples of these exorcisms.
“The manner of the cure was this: He put a ring that had a root of one of those sorts mentioned by Solomon to the nostrils of the demoniac, after which he drew out the demon through his nostrils; and when the man fell down, immediately he abjured him to return into him no more, still making mention of Solomon, and reciting the incantations which he composed. And when Eleazar would persuade and demonstrate to the spectators that he had such a power, he set a little way off a cup or basin full of water, and commanded the demon, as he went out of the man, to overturn it, and thereby let the spectators know that he had left the man; and when this was done the skill and wisdom of Solomon were shown very manifestly.”
“Take roots of herbs, burn them under him, and surround him with water, whereupon the spirit will flee”
“simply by calling on the names of God and Jesus, and that otherwise neither men nor demons could cure them. Christianity has preserved this belief up to the present day, for exorcism still forms a part of the rite of baptism”
“In order to drive out a demon one must take an unripe olive, together with certain plants, and murmur some magic words over them, among the words used being ιαω, the Greek equivalent of the Hebraic Tetragrammaton. The exorcist says: “Go out [‘demon’] from—.” Thereupon a phylactery is made from a piece of tin and is hung from the neck of the one possessed. The exorcist places himself in front of the possessed one and begins as follows: “I conjure thee in the name of the God of the Hebrews, Jesus, Jahaia,” etc. The spirit is then conjured by a god, whose epithets are taken chiefly from the Bible.”
“The demon was told to go into a bottle.” This is where, “The Genie in the bottle” comes from.
All of these examples show the heathen influences on exorcism. Its satans followers way of asking satan to get his demons out of the person and ends up giving satan and the demons more status than what they deserve. It’s not the way YAHUSHA and the Apostles caste out demons. Its man made traditions from pagan influences which carry on today. Many heathen christian churches are doing exorcism with the rubbing of oil on the person, holy water, crosses, chanting scriptures and prayers, many laying on of hands, throwing salt on the floor and many other non scripture rituals.
Let’s look at the scriptures for casting out demons.
And evening having come on, they brought to Him many having been possessed by demons. And He cast out the spirits by a word, and He healed all those having illness, Mat. 8:16
“But if I cast out the demons by the Spirit of YAHUAH, then the kingdom of YAHUAH has come near to you.” (Mat. 12:28)
“And miraculous signs will follow to those believing these things: they will cast out demons in My name; they will speak new languages;” (Mar. 16:17)
“For He charged the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had seized him, and he was bound with chains and bonds, being guarded. And tearing apart the bonds, he was driven by the demons into the desert.” (Luk. 8:29)
Luk. 9:49, Luk. 10:17, Luk. 11:20.
So to caste out demons is by a command/charge/word, the Name of YAHUSHA, the finger/power/spirit of YAHUAH
And to make sure that you’re doing it with the authority of YAHUAH and YAHUSHUA you need to know them as many will find out when He returns.
“Many will say to Me in that day, Master, Master, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power? And then I will declare to them, from everlasting, I never knew you; “depart from Me, those working torahlessness!”” [Mat 7:22-23] (Psa. 6:8)
The name jesus is not Ha Mashiach’s Name. And take note that YAHUSHA is talking to those that are torahless.
The scriptural way of casting out demons is “Go out demon in the Name of YAHUSHA.” And not heathen man traditions of exorcism. The most important part is that the person that is saying these words know YAHUSHA and YAHUAH and does ELOHIM’s Torah AND that the person who is healed does the same as well. YAHUAH is using these demons as a stumbling block to test your belief in Him. Your focus is to keep walking in His Way without wavering in your belief in Him. Nothing more or less.
These tests will come by,
1. Demonic influences on people and things around you.
2. Demonic influences against you.
3. Demonic possession.
So what do you do about this demon thing?
1) Become a non reborn citizen of the true YAHisrael.
a) Turn your back on the world. (Repent)
b) Belief only in YAHUAH.
c) Guard (DO) the Torah.
2) Become a reborn citizen of the true YAHisrael.
a) Belief in the faithfulness of YAHUSHA. (He is the Lamb that has died for our sins and defeated death and replaced it with undeserved favour. We may partake in the feast of the Passover Lamb and are spiritually circumcised.)
When you’re living with RUACH in you then you are safe from being possessed by a demon but they will influence you and those around you and things/situations to get you to lose your citizenship of the true YAHisrael. Once again don’t forget that YAHUAH WILL put you through tests to see if you are worthy of being a citizen of His true YAHisrael. Whether you are the most righteous or not your life could be the best or the worst that can be but never change from,
1) Turning your back on the world.
2) Belief only in YAHUAH.
3) Belief in the faithfulness of YAHUSHA.
4) Guard the Torah.
Prevention is better than cure.
Firstly, remember that you are a SET APART person on the earth. You’re not part of the world.
Secondly don’t cross the spiritual rules, if you delve in the things of the world whether you hear, see, smell, taste or touch it you are opening yourself up to the spirits of darkness.
Thirdly, be obedient to living the Way, the Truth and the Life (Torah)
Let’s have a look at some of these spiritual influences that you find in the scriptures.
Chavah and Abaddon – Abaddon deceived Chavah during a conversation.
ELOHIM and the Egyptian Pharaoh – ELOHIM strengthened (Human stubbornness) Pharaoh’s heart with the plaques. When Pharaoh remained stubborn ELOHIM hardened (Spiritual hardness) Pharaoh’s heart. Pharaoh could not change his mind and his death along with his army would take place.
Saul – ELOHIM removed His Spirit from Saul and allowed an evil spirit to terrify Saul. Many incorrectly believe that David caste out the evil spirit with music and use music to caste out demons.
Judas and satan – satan possessed Judas for Judas to portray YAHUSHA.
David and satan – ELOHIM used satan to tempt David to take the censor of YAHisrael.
Man possessed by legions – The demons recognized YAHUSHA. YAHUSHA got the demons to name themselves. The demons negotiated with YAHUSHA. YAHUSHA agreed to their request. The demons were caste into the pigs. Demons need to be in a human or animal to enjoy the evil that humans get up to. They do go into objects such as statues and make it seem as the statue is smoking, crying and bleeding.
Reprobate mind – Those that are really evil and perverted will be given a perverted mind which will make it very difficult if not impossible for them to become righteous.
Those that are not of ELOHIM – Those that are not of ELOHIM do not see or hear the Truth of His WORD. In the scriptures YAHUAH and YAHUSHA say that those that reject them do not see and hear the Truth and are not from ELOHIM. The Apostles say the same to those that reject the Truth. If they’re not from ELOHIM then they are from satan.
The Spirit of YAHUAH keeping those on the path of satan – The bibles that have YAHUAH as an ELOHIM and talk about the great falling away are wrong. When the torahless man (Anti Mashiach) is revealed and those that believe his lie who backslide from ELOHIM’s path to satans path will be kept there by ELOHIM’s Spirit.
As you can see that there are various ways that the spirits of darkness AND light can have on you. Yet most people are only or more concerned about the spirits of darkness. When the most important thing to fear is what will ELOHIM do with His Spirit. I believe that when He uses His Spirit to hold you back on satans path then you can’t return to His path and will die the eternal death.
The safest place to be is as a citizen of the true YAHisrael. Let’s see what the scriptures say about the citizens of the world (Babylon)
“And he cried in a strong, great voice, saying, Babylon the great has fallen! It has fallen, and it has become a dwelling-place of those possessed by demons, and a home of every foul spirit, and a home of every unclean bird, even the home of every unclean and hateful beast,” (Rev. 18:2)
